Flor de Murta sowed the seeds and inspired the local population to create and maintain an outdoor communal space, evoking a return to the rural traditions lost during the relocation of these communities from self-built housing to apartment blocks.
Alongside the creation of this shared space – including gardens and vegetable plots – a series of cultural, ecological, and social activities were developed. These allowed for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, fostered collaborative work and recreation, and promoted social interaction, while caring for public space and strengthening community relations.
