Multidisciplinary artist Sepher AWK (Bruno Teixeira) invited children and young people from Vale de Chelas to imagine and create a collective mural in their neighbourhood. Known for his work in illustration, animation, and mural painting, Sepher AWK brought to the workshop his distinctive visual language, deeply influenced by the Lisbon periphery, especially the Sintra railway line, where he grew up.
The mural was conceived as a collaborative piece, with messages and symbols chosen by the participants, translating their dreams, emotions, and visions for the future of the neighbourhood. More than an aesthetic intervention, this was an act of empowerment and belonging, and a gesture of shared imagination that inscribed hope on the walls of the community.
