The MonÁxi workshop at Bairro do Rego seeks to be a journey through the various stages of creation of a song and a dive into the artist's work through a visit to her studio, located in Serra da Arrábida. "We are the Earth's Daughters" is the theme of this workshop where an Anthem to the community's Women who dedicate themselves to domestic work will be created. This work will culminate in the recording and production of an original song and music video.
BIO
MonÁxi presents herself as a composer, producing, singing and playing her original songs. Using the djembe (african drum) she opens doors to a concept that is still rarely embraced by women. She seeks influences from afro-jazz, Sacred Feminine or World music, creating a fusion of contagious music that touches the soul. She shortens distances between the various sounds, presenting vibrant, rhythmic and unpredictable songs. Bringing the richness of the blood that runs in her veins and all of Mother Earth's inspiration, she speaks openly about her emotions and experiences, sharing her deepest feelings with the world.
